Your Someday Could Be Today

Our Story

While working at a medical office in Portage, Michigan we discovered we both had a greater passion outside of office work. After discussing how both families often did their own renovations growing up, we bonded over projects we wanted to work on. As our friendship grew, we started working on small renovations around our homes.

Friends would see us posting projects on social media and began to ask how they could do that. Commonly we'd hear about spouses that half started a project but worked too much to complete it. Or a stay-at-home spouse that didn't feel comfortable with the average handyman in their home, around their children, or pets. Others just had simple projects like painting walls or fixing a leak but didn't know where to begin. We felt a strong call to help everyone we spoke with but found it difficult while working full time.

Then the pandemic and shutdowns began. Everyone now was home and looking at all the renovations they wanted completed. This is where the idea grew to open our own company. We saw an opportunity to change the culture of a local handyman and provide quality service while still making the homeowner comfortable. Two women in a primarily male profession was also very unique and rare.

In June of 2021, we officially left our office jobs to fulfill that dream. Being a woman-owned, small business in our community has been one of the most rewarding experiences for both of us. By believing in ourselves and pursing our passions we now can successfully help others be happy in their homes by seeing their project completed.

Why Chameleons?

Often we get asked, "So which one are you?" We are both because a chameleon can adapt and change to their surroundings. This is why they represent our company vision. We ourselves can adapt and change to our circumstances. Project Completion wanted to highlight that we embrace change, and no project is too small to make a big impact on your everyday.
